We have just delivered the 100th ship set to Piper for the Meridian. Piper reports a delivery of 70 aircraft to end users. A shipset includes 6 displays including; 2 Primary Flight Displays (PFD), 2 Navigational Displays (ND), 2 Engine Instrument Displays (EID), 2 Air Data Attitude Heading Reference Systems (ADAHRS) 1 Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) and an S-TEC System 550 Autopilot.

The Primary Flight Displays show all information needed for flight, including attitude, heading, rate of climb, airspeed, altitude, ILS, baro setting and side slip. Separate dual ADAHRS provide independent sources of attitude and air data information to pilot and copilot displays. The ADAHRS is completely solid state and has no moving parts, providing a significant increase in reliability. The Navigational Display provides several display modes, including HSI, Mapping and ARC modes.

The Engine Instrument Display system provides engine parameter and fuel indications on two active matrix liquid crystal display panels. In addition, this system also provides parameter warning and indication outputs for the cockpit annunciator panel. The EIDS also provides GPS related data, an automated means of gathering and storing engine condition trend monitoring parameters, and output signals for the automated fuel balancing system.
