Upgrade Any S-TEC Autopilot To GPSS

Keeping with S-TEC's long standing building-block philosophy and our policy of not obsoleting our customer's autopilots, GPSS is available as an add- on module for any existing S-TEC autopilot.

The GPSS Converter is configured in three different physical packages: horizontally panel-mounted, self-contained; vertically panel-mounted, self-contained; and separate panel-mounted switch and remotely-mounted control box.

The lighted panel switch selects GPSS or Heading Mode, and if a valid roll steering command is not available, GPSS will not activate, and this will be indicated by the flashing GPSS LED.

Extremely compact (similar in size to a deck of cards), the GPSS Converter is 1" thick, 2-1/4" wide, and approximately 3-1/4" deep (depending on configuration). The faceplate and control switch on the self-contained units, in either horizontal or vertical configuration is 1-1/2" x 3/4". If panel space is restricted and does not permit the use of a self-contained configuration, the control box can be remotely mounted with a 1.32" x .82" control switch, which projects only 1" behind the panel.

With today's popularity of GPS units, the GPSS Converter can help add sales dollars to the GPS sale.

When you sell one of the GPS units, which has 429 digital roll-steering capabilities that GPSS requires, to pilots who already own a S-TEC autopilot, you can recommend that they also purchase the Converter to transform the original S-TEC autopilot into an autopilot with GPS composite roll steering capability.
