2800 Hours Trouble-Free Dear Mr. Irwin: Just thought I would give you a customer follow-up since I was reading your recent newsletter and enjoyed the literature. You may or may not remember certifying the S-TEC Autopilot in my Rockwell Commander 114 several years ago, actually back in the 1980's. I subsequently flew that autopilot for approximately 1500 hours without any repair, adjustments or other work. I then began working with the new Commander Aircraft Company in the 1989-1990 period when they started up the new company and agreed to purchase the first new Commander. I also recommended that they install an S-TEC Autopilot, which they agreed to. I have now 1300 hours on the new Commander 114 and have had no autopilot problems, no repairs, no adjustments, no interruption of service. In my opinion, it is by far the leading autopilot, the smoothest autopilot and the most trouble-free on the market. I hope all continues to go well for you and your company.
