We Get Letters!
Dear Mr. Nimmo:
I would like to thank you for responding so quickly with a replacement S-50 autopilot for my Cessna 206. It is always a pleasure to deal with a company that stands behind its' Products and particularly when the service is so prompt.
Shortly after talking to you at Oshkosh about my altitude hold problems, Wipaire received the new unit and swapped autopilots out for me. We test flew the aircraft, and the improvement was quite noticeable in spite of the fact that the ride conditions we flew in were not exactly the same as when I have my problems.
The acid test will come this spring when the hot and bumpy skies return, although I am anticipating that the new unit will perform admirably. Once again, thank you for the outstanding support of your products!
Sincerely - Steve Petrich - MN
I fly a Britten Norman Islander, in 1992 I decided to upgrade the original autopilot (Brittain) for a new one. While researching about the different options I came across an article (don't remember but I believe it was in one of the Aviation consumer magazines) that explained the difference between your autopilot and the Century one. After that, I contacted my local Avionic and AP shop (Airtech) here in my country Venezuela. We talk extensively about the project. They lay out clearly all the options that I had and definitely recommend me your product. At that time I decided for a System 50 with altitude hold, yaw damper, and electrical trim options. After reviewing with them the installation procedures I placed the order and they installed the system. Six years later and two GPS upgrades the system has worked flawlessly. In conclusion, your Autopilot is a good and reliable product and you are well represented here in Venezuela.Roberto Mateu
