These are exciting times for all of us at Meggitt Avionics/S-TEC as we bring the MAGIC products into our operations in Mineral Wells. As you will see in the coming months, this will mean some exciting opportunities for you as a MAGIC" and S-TEC" dealer.

In other articles in this newsletter our Press Release and the list of FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) give you a lot of insight into why Meggitt PLC in the UK developed the consolidation plan. I'd like to give you some additional information on this landmark decision by our company.

Meggitt Avionics/S-TEC in Mineral Wells has some unique capabilities that will now be leveraged into benefits for the marketplace, and specifically as benefits for you as our dealer.
  • Meggitt Avionics/S-TEC's product support reputation comes from years of experience in the autopilot aftermarket – in the future, that way of doing business will be brought to bear on the consolidated product line of MAGIC displays and autopilots.
  • Our Designated Alteration Station (DAS) has been approving autopilot STCs for 20 years and we will soon have EFIS STC authority added to our DAS.
  • Meggitt Avionics/S-TEC has done an excellent job of meeting the sales and profit expectations of the company.
  • Meggitt Avionics/S-TEC has done a good job of streamlining operations in the recent past and controlling costs.

We have a major planning effort underway to make this transition as smooth as possible as we bring all these additional capabilities into our operations. We do, however, expect some minor growing pains and challenges along the way and ask your indulgence if they impact you. Be assured that every effort is being made to make this consolidation transparent and a very positive thing for all of us. We are extremely confident that we will deliver a better product and service to you in the future and that both of us will be more successful as a result.
