EXTRA 400

The EXTRA Flugzeugbau EA-400 is a pressurized, high wing, modern single-engine monoplane made of composite materials, that is certified for up to 6 persons including a minimum crew of one pilot. It is powered by a six cylinder, liquid cooled, turbo charged, intercooled Continental TSIOL-550-C 350 hp powerplant. The Extra 400 was in Mineral Wells recently for flight tests to obtain FAA STC approval of the Flight Control System. The S-TEC System 55 autopilot with Altitude pre-select is installed as standard equipment by the factory in Germany. The EA-400 aircraft is certified to the requirements of the FAA and LBA.
