720 Channel to 760 Channel in a FLASH

As the radio traffic density increases within the system, we expect the FAA to begin to employ channels outside of the normal 720 channels we've had for years. In fact, the expansion of the communication band to 760 Channels has already taken place in Europe.

S-TEC now offers a kit which will modify Tec Line VHF 251's and 251E's from 720 Channels to 760 channels bringing the transceiver's bandwidth to 118-136.975 Mhz. The modification required to increase the bandwidth can be performed at either the factory or an S-TEC authorized dealership. To obtain the modification kit, simply place your order for P/N 8756 (VHF-251) or P/N 8756-1 (VHF-251E). The suggested retail price for the kit is $695.
