STC Update
TURBOPROP STC LIST GROWS
by Ed Cameron, Director, Flight Engineering
One of the real differences between S-TEC and our competition is our attitude toward new STC's. From the very beginning over 15 years ago, S-TEC has postured the product line for the retrofit aftermarket. Critical to selling in this market is an ever increasing inventory of Flight Control System STC's, and we feel it is our obligation to you, the S-TEC dealer, to pursue additional STC's and to provide this documentation to you. This allows you to do what you do best, sell and install systems without the hassle of doing your own approvals or negotiating with others in the field who hold the STC you need. Plus, our STC documentation is provided at no charge to you when you buy an S-TEC Flight Control System.
With the inclusion of the STC's you see below our list of STC's has grown to over 600 covering over 2500 aircraft models. We already have over 50 for the recently introduced System 55 covering over 250 aircraft models.
Since many of the turboprops built in the 60's, 70's and early 80's are still flying everyday in corporate operations, and their flight control systems are becoming obsolete as unrepairable or too expensive to repair, we are expanding our product line rapidly to meet these needs. We now have systems for the King Air, the Turbo Commander, the Cheyenne, and the Fairchild Metro III (thanks to an aircraft supplied by JA Air Center in Chicago).
If you don't see the STC you need to satisfy a specific customers requirements in our listing please call us at 1-800-USA-S-TEC. If the STC you need is not on the list, don't assume there is not enough of a market to justify one, and then not call. It's possible that we may have just received other calls from dealers around the world for the same airplane and your call could be the one that justifies our pursuit of an STC. The most current issue of the S-TEC STC Directory is dated 5/95 which is our Part Number 8707. If you need a copy call.
Since May of this year the following STC's have been approved:
